Pre-war co-ops along Park and Fifth, townhouses on the side streets of Lenox Hill and Carnegie Hill, family apartments where antique Persians have lived in formal rooms since the building was new. The bedrooms, libraries, and closets in those apartments are exactly the quiet, undisturbed wool habitats moths seek out.
We treat all of it. Inherited Tabriz and Kashan that came back from estate-clearance years untouched, antique Aubussons under formal dining tables, silk Hereke in primary bedrooms. Each rug is hand-treated by the same master artisan on our dedicated atelier floor in Westchester, with treatments calibrated to its age, fiber, and dye stability — never machine-washed, never fumigated in bulk.

We collect your rug from your Upper East Side townhouse or pre-war co-op — Park Avenue, Madison, Fifth, Lenox Hill, Carnegie Hill — and inspect by hand for live larvae, casings, and frass. Active infestation is sealed before transport so nothing spreads in the building.
Calibrated treatment, by hand.
Hand-wash with treatments calibrated to antique wool and vegetable dyes — never harsh chemicals, never blanket fumigation. Each rug gets a wash plan written for its age, fiber, and dye stability by the master artisan.
Foundation rebuild + return.
Reweave where moths weakened the structure — warp, weft, selvedge, fringe. We return the rug to your UES home with a written storage and rotation guide so the next infestation never starts.
