Hand-washed antique oriental, Persian, and silk rugs — pickup across Darien.
For more than a decade, the Cohen family has cared for the rugs of Darien — Tokeneke, Noroton, Long Neck Point, and the Country Club. Antique Persians, designer modern pieces in waterfront homes, antique Aubusson, and the heirlooms passed down through generations. Complimentary pickup, hand-washed in our atelier, returned in better condition than the day it left.
Rug care across Darien.
Darien is two towns at once. South of the Post Road the land reaches into Long Island Sound — Tokeneke, Long Neck Point, Pratt Island — where shingle-style and Colonial Revival waterfront houses hold antique Persians in formal rooms and the salt air finds every fiber. North of the rail line, the older inland neighborhoods around Noroton Heights and the Country Club keep multi-generational family houses with heirloom rugs that have stayed in the same rooms for three or four generations.
We see all of it. Antique Aubusson in dining rooms; designer modern pieces commissioned for new builds along the water; antique oriental rugs that have been in the family longer than the house has stood; silk rugs in primary bedrooms; high-traffic wool after a season of guests. Each one is hand-washed in our Greenwich atelier on the dedicated floor, by the same artisans, with the same care, no matter the address.
