For more than a decade, the Cohen family has cared for the rugs of Upper West Side — antique oriental, Persian, silk, fine wool. We pick up across Central Park West, Riverside Drive, Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues, and the blocks around Lincoln Center and the Museum of Natural History, hand-wash by appointment in our Westchester atelier, and return every rug in better condition than the day it left.

The Upper West Side keeps a quieter, deeper collection than its eastern cousin — fewer decorator-rotated rooms, more family heirlooms passed through three or four generations. The pieces we collect here lean antique Persian, antique Oushak, and the kind of family-heritage rugs that were bought once and lived on the same floor for forty years. Riverside Drive co-ops and CPW pre-wars tend to hold the largest sizes.
Every rug we pick up from a UWS address is wrapped at your door, walked out via the freight elevator, and driven directly to the Westchester atelier in our own truck. There it is inspected, dye-tested, and hand-washed on our dedicated floor by our master artisans. Never machine-cleaned. Never sent off-site. The pieces in these rooms have outlived everything else — they deserve the wash that lets them outlive the next forty years too.

We schedule a time that suits your building — most CPW and Riverside Drive buildings prefer the freight elevator — wrap your rug at the door, and transport it to the Westchester atelier in our own truck. Pickup across the Upper West Side is complimentary and never a third-party courier.
