For more than a decade, the Cohen family has cared for the rugs of Montauk — the downtown village, the Ditch Plains surf belt, the Hither Hills cliffside, and the Old Montauk Highway houses that look across at the ocean. Modern designer pieces, summer-rental wool, and the occasional antique from a year-round home. Complimentary pickup, hand-washed in our atelier, returned in better condition than the day it left.

Montauk is the easternmost Hamptons hamlet and the one with the most distinct character — closer in feel to a fishing village and a surf town than to a Gold Coast colony. Downtown holds the motels and the harbor; Ditch Plains holds the surf community; Hither Hills holds the older cliffside houses with views back along the South Fork; and Old Montauk Highway threads the oceanfront strip.
We see modern designer pieces in the new builds along Old Montauk Highway; heavy summer-rental wool from the houses that turn over every weekend; the occasional antique in a year-round home; silk in primary suites where the owners are spending more than a season. Each one is hand-washed in our Westchester atelier on the dedicated floor, by the same artisans, with the same care.

Arrange a complimentary pickup by phone or through the form. We schedule a time that fits the season, wrap your rug at your door — downtown Montauk, Ditch Plains, Hither Hills, Old Montauk Highway, or anywhere within the Montauk hamlet boundary — and bring it back to our Westchester atelier.

Every rug — antique oriental, Persian, silk, fine wool — is inspected and dye-tested, then hand-washed by our master artisans on our dedicated atelier floor. Never by machine, never off-site.
Returned to your home.
We wrap, transport, and place your rug back where it belongs — in better condition than the day it left, fully insured the entire way.
Memorial Day to Labor Day — and the quiet months after.
Hamptons pickup volume runs in two distinct waves. From Memorial Day through Labor Day, summer-rental wear and entertaining-season spills come in faster than at any other point in the year — we ask for two to three weeks of notice on non-urgent work. Then from late September through November, closing-up clients book the year's hand-wash and storage-prep visit before the houses go dark.
Pickup from Montauk routes through our Westchester HQ atelier — Montauk is the longest run on our Hamptons routes, so we schedule early in the season and coordinate with house managers and rental agents wherever possible. Off-season pickups (October through April) are easier and faster to book.
