Hand-washed antique oriental, Persian, and silk rugs — pickup across Pound Ridge.
For more than a decade, the Cohen family has cared for the rugs of Pound Ridge — the wooded estates off Long Pond and Stone Hill, the antique colonials near the Reservation, the country houses on the multi-acre lots between Bedford and the Connecticut line. Antique Persians, heirloom Aubusson, antique Chinese silk. Complimentary pickup, hand-washed in our Westchester atelier, returned in better condition than the day it left.
Rug care across Pound Ridge.
Long Pond. Stone Hill. The Pound Ridge Reservation. Heavily wooded estates on multi-acre lots.
Pound Ridge is country — long winding driveways, hemlock and oak overhead, the houses set back from the road. The rugs follow the architecture: antique Persians in formal rooms, heirloom Aubusson in dining rooms, antique Chinese silk in libraries that face the woods. Many of these pieces came from Manhattan apartments and have lived in these country houses for generations.
Every rug we pick up from a Pound Ridge address is wrapped at the door, transported by our own team to the Westchester atelier, and hand-washed on our dedicated floor. Never machine-cleaned, never sent off-site.
