Hand-washed antique oriental, Persian, and silk rugs — pickup across Summit.
For more than a decade, the Cohen family has cared for the rugs of Summit — Springfield Avenue, the lanes around the Summit Country Club, the Tudors and center-hall Colonials of the Wyoming district. Antique Persians, antique Aubusson, oriental silks, family heirlooms. Complimentary pickup, hand-washed in our atelier, returned in better condition than the day it left.
Rug care across Summit.
Summit is an estate town just over the ridge from Short Hills. Springfield Avenue runs the spine; the Summit Country Club anchors the western neighborhoods; the Wyoming district holds the Tudors and the large center-hall Colonials. Many of the houses are a hundred years old, and the rugs inside them often go back nearly as far.
The collections are deep. Antique Persians in formal living rooms. Antique Aubusson laid in dining rooms with tall windows. Oriental silks in the primary bedroom. Family heirlooms in the library. Each one is hand-washed in our Short Hills atelier on the dedicated floor, by the same artisans, with the same care, no matter the address.
- Antique Persian — Tabriz, Kashan, Heriz
- Antique Aubusson — French flat-weave
- Oriental silk — antique and contemporary
- Family heirlooms — multi-generational
- Moth treatment and damage repair
- Sun-fade and color restoration
How we care for your rug, by hand.
From your home to our atelier — and back to your door, in better condition than the day it left.
We come to Summit.
Arrange a complimentary pickup by phone or through the form. We schedule a time that fits the home — a Tudor in the Wyoming district, a Colonial near the Country Club, a center-hall on the streets off Springfield Avenue — wrap your rug at your door, and bring it back to our Short Hills atelier.
Hand-washed in our atelier.
Every rug — antique oriental, Persian, silk, fine wool — is inspected and dye-tested, then hand-washed by our master artisans on our dedicated atelier floor. Never by machine, never off-site.
Returned to your home.
We wrap, transport, and place your rug back where it belongs — in better condition than the day it left, fully insured the entire way.
